Storytelling is a magical journey that sparks imagination, fosters creativity, and cultivates a love for language among young children. Engaging in storytelling activities not only entertains but also educates and inspires young minds.
Keeping this in mind “A Story Basket- Story Telling Activity” was organized by Indian School Sohar for classes I & II. This activity was conducted by Ms. Anita Gupta wherein she narrated the story of “Red Riding Hood”. The teacher involved children by asking open-ended questions, prompting them to make predictions, share their thoughts, and express emotions related to the plot. The activity was a wonderful and engaging experience that involved props and student participation, making the story come to life.
This activity immersed children in the enchanting world of storytelling, encouraging them to explore their imagination and express themselves through narratives. Thus, the story telling activity helped in enhancing our students’ listening, speaking, imaginative skills.
Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma, an avid reader herself, witnessed the activity and encouraged and motivated students to inculcate good reading habits.
