SHADOW PUPPETRY SHOW FOR CLASS II

Indian School Sohar organized the Shadow Puppetry show for Class II students on 31st January 2024, showcasing the traditional form of entertainment that combines fun and storytelling. The show aimed at transmitting the knowledge and served as an aid for imparting educational concepts through an engaging medium.

Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, Vice Principal, Mr. Yashvir Singh and Assistant Vice Principal, Ms. Indira Sukumaran were present to witness the show alongside the students. The story of ‘The Little Red Hen’ was brought to life through shadow puppets, with characters appearing as shadows on the screen. The dynamic teachers utilized voice modulation and effectively manipulated the shadow puppets to captivate the children’s attention.

The show featured four main characters: The Little Red Hen, the Pig, the Duck, and the Cat, which enthralled the students. The students were wonderstruck by the unique presentation, engaging with their favourite characters in a new and exciting way. The activity not only entertained but also reinforced the students’ understanding of the concept of shadows, making it a valuable learning experience in an interactive and entertaining manner.

The Shadow Puppetry Show at Indian School Sohar was a resounding success, providing students a memorable and educational experience.
