DISPLAY OF STEAM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS, AND MATHEMATICS) MODELS FOR CLASSES III- V

The Display of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Models organised by Indian School Sohar for classes III- V from 24th March to 26th March 2024 was a remarkable event that aimed to promote interdisciplinary learning and creativity of our students. The event encouraged children to exhibit their knowledge, creativity, and investigative skills, which boosted their confidence and reflected their innovative ideas and enthusiasm.

The participants displayed activities and beautiful models on different themes that gained the attention and appreciation of everyone. Each exhibit served as an eye-opening experience for visitors. Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma and the section supervisor, Dr. Alka Singh, played pivotal roles in achieving the grand success of the programme.

‘Rainbow of Creativity’ that highlighted the coffee painting, semolina pasting, drawings and crafts works made a visual treat for everyone. In ‘Discover, Explore, and Innovate,’ the students displayed their creative scientific potential in diverse arenas, where it seemed that the world of science practically came alive through the blooming projects of our young student innovators. The curiosity-emerging projects captivated attention as they adorned the hall of Curious Minds, showcasing the innovative spirit of our students. In Math Magic, students presented conceptual explanations for different perceptions of Mathematics used in daily life through working as well as still models. The event witnessed enormous participation from the students, and the spectators were delighted to see the emerging talents on display.

Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, lauded the relentless efforts of the coordinators, Ms. Smitha P.G and Ms. Padma K as well as all the teachers in-charge, highlighting their instrumental role in guiding and nurturing the talents of the students. The appreciation from the Principal emphasized the value of STEAM education in fostering creativity, critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning. Vice Principal, Mr. Yashvir Singh and Assistant Vice Principal, Ms. Indira Sukumaran extended congratulations and appreciation to both students and teachers, recognizing their collective efforts. It acknowledges the efforts of teachers and students in integrating multiple disciplines and their ability to apply knowledge in practical and innovative ways. The parents were incredibly impressed with the STEAM models showcased by the students.

In conclusion, the STEAM model display at Indian School Sohar not only highlighted the talents and ingenuity of its students but also underscored the vital role of STEAM education in shaping future innovators and leaders.
