Food donation initiatives and aiding the less fortunate are integral facets of a compassionate society, fostering unity and empathy across diverse communities.
In the auspicious month of Ramadan, the SAMARPAN CLUB – community service club of Indian School Sohar orchestrated a "Joy of Giving" food donation campaign, aiming to instill the values of selfless giving among students from KG to XII, alongside staff members. Under the patronage of Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma, the inauguration of the drive marked a significant step towards cultivating a culture of generosity within the school community.
The response to the contribution drive was overwhelming, with students, parents, and staff members generously donating non-perishable food items. Collaborating closely with student volunteers and dedicated teachers, the collected items were meticulously sorted, packed, and readied for distribution.
Accompanied by the Principal, Club Coordinator, and teacher in charges, the volunteer team traversed various parts of the city to distribute the food items to needy families. This outreach initiative not only fulfilled an immediate need within the community but also aligned with the school's strategic objective of serving the broader society.
Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma commended the Samarpan Club for spearheading the initiative and lauded its remarkable success. She underscored the profound significance of such endeavors in reinforcing the ethos of charity and communal welfare.
In her expression of gratitude, Coordinator Ms. Indira Sukumaran extended heartfelt thanks to the Principal, staff, students, parents, and all Samarpan club teachers involved (Ms. Shahnaz Khan, Mr. Niyas, Mr. Roopendra Sharma, Mr. Jithesh k. Mohandas, Ms. Selvi M, Ms. Anagha Panse, Ms. Infancy, Ms. Kavitha T, Ms. Renjini Mathew and Ms. Subhadra Sikha). Their collective enthusiasm and tireless efforts from collection to distribution played a pivotal role in the drive's success.
