Among all the animals that I saw, I liked the Giraffes the
most. They were very tall and beautiful. I would like to
share some interesting facts that I learned about Giraffes
with you.
The Giraffe
There are four types of giraffe: Northern giraffe,
reticulated giraffe, Southern giraffe, and masai giraffe. I
went to Kenya and saw three types but we did not see
southern Giraffes. I learned some interesting facts about
Giraffes that I did not know of. They blink their eyes only
once every 25 minutes. Their eye can see clearly up to a
distance of two kilometers. Just like us they belong to a
mammal family whose neck is made of 7 bones. Their leg
bones are very strong. A single leg bone weighs around
7kg which is strong enough to kill a lion in one
kick.Newborn giraffes start walking within one day.
