The Mathematics Department at Indian School, Sohar, orchestrated a distinctive assembly to commemorate National Education Day, honoring the illustrious freedom fighter and social activist, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, on November 11, 2023. Recognizing his significant contributions, the Ministry of Human Resource Development declared his birthday as National Education Day on September 11, 2008, acknowledging Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's pivotal role as the inaugural Education Minister of Independent India, having dedicated 11 years to the cause. He played a crucial role in shaping India's education system.
The special assembly featured an enlightening video underscoring the day's importance, serving as a valuable educational resource for the students. Neil Robin of IV D delivered a comprehensive speech, delving into Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's history and impactful contributions. Furthermore, students enriched the event by presenting a thoughtful elucidation of the term "EDUCATION" as part of the video.
Ms. Sanchita Verma, the Principal, expressed her appreciation for the participants, the teacher in charge Ms. Soumya Hubaise, and HOD Mathematics Ms. Indira Sukumaran for successfully organizing and conducting the special class assembly.
