SUDOKU COMPETITION FOR CLASS III

A Sudoku competition was meticulously organized by the department of Mathematics for the vibrant students of Class III on October 9, 2023, providing a platform for intellectual engagement and enthusiasm. The challenging nature of Sudoku not only stimulated their cognitive abilities but also heightened their interest in problem-solving.

Sudoku, a widely embraced number puzzle played on a 9x9 grid, requires participants to skillfully fill each row, column, and 3x3 sub grid with the numbers 1 through 9, ensuring no repetition. This globally recognized mental exercise is celebrated for its logical and deductive qualities.

The preliminary round, held on October 3, 2023, witnessed the spirited participation of all Class III students. A remarkable 18 students demonstrated exceptional skills, earning qualification for the eagerly awaited final round on October 9, 2023. The final competition was characterized by the students' unwavering enthusiasm and genuine enjoyment of the problem-solving process.

In recognition of the students' outstanding achievements, Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma, Vice Principal Mr. Yashvir Singh, and AVP & HOD Mathematics Mrs. Indira Sukumaran expressed their heartfelt appreciation. They extended their appreciation to the dedicated teacher in charge, Ms. Rolfy Bijo, and Ms. Alice K Thomas, whose guidance played a pivotal role in the success of the event.

The Sudoku competition not only showcased the students' intellectual prowess but also underscored the school's commitment to fostering a dynamic and stimulating learning environment.
