“After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.’’
Stories give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. It is our imagination that we embrace, things and situations that we shy away from real world.
Storytelling is an art of narrating and unfolding the narratives of a story. It boosts children’s confidence, communication and memorizing skill.
Storytelling has always been an integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and the love for reading in children, we at Indian School Sohar organised English Story Telling Competition for classes I & II on 03-12-23 & 04-12-23 respectively under the guidance of our Supervisor Ms. Gauri Gadgeel.
Children narrated stories having good morals confidently with good expressions and proper pronunciation. Each story concluded with a moral highlighting different values of life. The young students were appreciated and applauded for their wonderful performances by the Supervisor Mrs. Gauri Gadgeel and judges.
The judges of the competition were:
For Class I - Ms. CH. V. Mrudula, Ms. Dishita Dave and Mr. Muneeswara Moorthy
For Class II - Ms. CH. V. Mrudula, Ms. Santy Manesh and Mr. Muneeswara Moorthy
