WHEN PUPPETS TALK CHILDREN LISTEN….
Learning by playing is fundamental to the education of a young child which help them develop the necessary skills in life. To foster their learning experience and make it fun and engaging, a Puppet show was organized by our dedicated Kindergarten teachers under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma on Thursday,14th December 2023. The show was a spectacular journey into the imaginative world as the children saw their favourite characters come alive.
Puppets can stimulate children's imagination, encourage creative play and are a wonderful interactive way to encourage language and creative development.
Our Kindergarten teachers orchestrated a magical experience for our tiny tots, bringing to life enchanting stories of “The Great Elephant” and “How the Flowers Got Their Colours” using hand puppets and stick puppets. They stepped into the roles of puppeteers, guiding the adorable characters through heartwarming narratives, voice modulations and hand gestures to instill the values of friendship and kindness.
The children were fully engrossed in the story. Their giggles and laughter conveyed their excitement. After the puppet show, they happily and enthusiastically answered all the questions related to the story asked by the Principal. The show was witnessed and applauded by Vice-Principal Mr. Yashvir Singh, Asst. Vice-Principal Ms. Indira Sukumaran and the teachers from the Primary section.
Overall, the Puppet show brought positivity, unbolting more possibilities of creativity, curiosity and creative thinking in the minds of kindergarteners.
