The teachers, students and parents of Indian School Sohar participated in Sohar Walk III organized by the Aster Hospital Committee on January 12, 2024, covering a distance of 8 kilometers from Khor Al-Siyabi beach to Sohar Fort. The initiative seems to have garnered significant support with more than 1,000 participants from various age groups joining the venture. The inclusion of individuals from different schools, public and private sectors, as well as free-walking sports teams from various governorates, reflects a diverse and widespread involvement in the event.
The primary goal of Sohar Walk III, as mentioned, was to raise awareness about the importance of walking for both health and psychological well-being. Such community events play a crucial role in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, fostering a sense of unity, and encouraging individuals to prioritize their physical and mental health.
