“The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it.” – Richard Bach
With NEP’s new “Bagless Days” policy in place, it’s time that we unburden our student’s shoulders, both literally and figuratively, by implementing school days where backpacks are left behind and learning beyond textbooks takes centre stage.
Keeping this in mind, the Kindergarten wing of Indian School Sohar celebrated Bagless Fun Day in the school sports ground on February 19, 2024, with a lot of zest and excitement. Without their usual backpacks, tiny tot explorers embarked on thrilling outdoor adventures!
The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma, and Assistant Vice Principal, Mrs. Indira Sukumaran, graced the occasion. With initiative and unwavering support from HOD Physical Education Mr. Kamal Gurung, and the entire PE Dept. and KG teachers, these little stars embraced the spirit of Bagless Day with enthusiasm.
The air was filled with excitement and laughter as our little champions geared up for a day of fun and games. They ran, jumped, and played games, with their laughter echoing through the playground. All the events were carefully designed to cater to the unique abilities and interests of tiny tots. From the classic hurdle race, pick the healthy food, and colour sorting to the adorable Feed the Joker, these little stars enjoyed and cheered at every activity for their classmates. Their faces lit up with joy as they conquered each challenge, proving that they were indeed unstoppable forces of fun and adventure. The joy of playtime was contagious! Mascot friends like Mickey, Minni, Sulahafa , the tortoise, and Fil, the elephant, added more spark and fun to the event.
Kindergarten Bagless Day was more than just a series of games; it was a celebration of determination, teamwork, and the boundless potential that resides within every child.
