Quick Brain Contest was organized for students from classes VI to VIII. The preliminary round was held on 14th August 2023 and the final round - Quiz Competition was held on 24th August 2023. The event aimed to foster a spirit of healthy competition, encourage intellectual growth, and provide an enjoyable learning experience for our students.
Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma addressed the student body. She shared valuable life lessons, stressing the importance of knowledge, curiosity, and teamwork. The Principal's words resonated deeply with the students, inspiring them to strive for excellence in all aspects of life. Her blessings and encouragement were a source of motivation for all present. She applauded the efforts of the teachers for organizing the intellectually stimulating competition.
The Asst. Vice Principal & HOD Mathematics Ms. Indira Sukumaran introduced the rules and rounds of the competition. The competition comprised three rounds: Picture Round, Rapid Fire Round, and Buzzer Round. She also introduced the panel of teachers namely Ms. Kavita Rajesh (Quiz Master), Ms. Infancy ( Score recorder), Mr. Maijo Varghese ( Moderator) and Ms. Shalini Nair ( audience round incharge ) to the audience.
Picture round commenced the competition with a fascinating display of images that had hidden meanings or clues. The participants showcased their observational and analytical skills. The excitement was palpable as the students grappled with decoding the images.
Following the Picture Round, the Rapid Fire Round kept everyone on the edge of their seats. The questions came fast and furious, testing the students' knowledge across various topics in Mathematics. The participants had to think quickly, and their responses showcased their depth of knowledge and ability to handle the questions.
The final round, the Buzzer Round, brought an electrifying climax to the competition. Participants were poised with their buzzers, ready to seize the opportunity to answer questions. The intensity of the competition was evident as they raced against the clock to hit the buzzer and provide accurate responses. Incorrect answers incurred penalties, adding an element of strategy to the game.
The audience actively engaged in the proceedings, making the event more vibrant. An 'Audience Round' was held, where the audience members had the opportunity to answer questions and win prizes. This interactive segment added to the excitement and encouraged everyone to participate wholeheartedly.
The Mathematics Quiz Competition was a resounding success. It not only tested the students' knowledge but also promoted teamwork, quick thinking, and a thirst for learning. The event achieved its objective of instilling a love for knowledge and healthy competition among our students. We look forward to more such events that nurture their intellectual growth.
