A “Tree Plantation Drive” was schematized in the campus of Indian School Sohar on 28th October 2014 by “Green Gyan”, the Eco Club of the school. The members of “Green Gyan” along with the students of Std. X to XII, Coordinators, Supervisors, Vice- Principals and Principal of the school planted around thirtysaplings of different species with great enthusiasm. The fact that the students gathered information about the conditions of germination of each sapling beforehand proves their deep concern over the mission of protecting the environment.
The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma, in her inspiring address encouraged the students to continue their effort to keep their surroundings clean and green and to take good care of the saplings planted by them.
