Indian School Sohar observed Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day) on 31st October 2023 to commemorate the 148th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
To throw light on the national unity, a special assembly was organized. The assembly commenced with a prayer song followed by a video showing a brief biography of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and a Quiz. The students came up with awe-inspiring thoughts and speeches on National Unity Day. The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge was administered to the students.
In the ‘Run for Unity’, the students participated enthusiastically in a short rally marathon on the playground under the guidance of the Physical Education teachers to evoke the spirit of integrity among the students and teachers. The Principal, Vice Principal, Asst. Vice Principal, Supervisors and staff joined the ‘Run for Unity’. The Principal addressed the students and highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in promoting national integration. The event was coordinated by Ms. Smitha. PG, along with Social Science teachers.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma appreciated the efforts of students and teachers. The event concluded with immense enthusiasm as the students pledged their commitment to fostering national unity.
