SUMMER SPORTS PROGRAMME IN NORTH ALBATINAH REGION

The General Directorate of Culture, Sports and Youth in the North Al Batinah Governorate organized an Open Sports Day at the Sohar Sports Stadium on 6th June 2024 for the Indian School Sohar students. This event featured various games, including Basketball, Football and Badminton, for both boys and girls.

The main aim was to spread the awareness about sports activities for all and give chance to different communities in the Sultanate of Oman to participate in sports and to exchange the ideas and experience between both the sides. A total of 79 students participated in these competitions.

The event was graced by notable dignitaries:

  • Chief Guest: Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mayasi, Director of the Establishment Department.
  • Guest of Honor: Mr. Muhammed Al-Farsi, Director of the Youth Activities Department.

Medals and trophies were awarded to the winners by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor, recognizing the students' efforts and achievements in their respective sports. Gratitude was expressed by the School Management Committee (SMC) and the Principal of the Indian School Sohar for organizing such a wonderful event.
