The Quick Brain Contest was organized for students for classes VI to VIII, with the preliminary round taking place on August 8th, 2024, followed by the final round—QBC Mathematics Quiz—on August 18th, 2024. The event aimed to promote healthy competition, stimulate intellectual growth, and offer an enjoyable learning experience for our students.
Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma addressed the student body, imparting valuable life lessons and emphasizing the significance of knowledge, curiosity, and teamwork. The Principal’s encouragement served as a strong motivation for everyone present. She applauded the efforts of the teachers for organizing the intellectually stimulating competition.
The Asst. Vice Principal & HOD Mathematics, Ms. Indira Sukumaran introduced the rules and rounds of the competition. The competition comprised three rounds: Picture Round, Rapid Fire Round, and Buzzer Round. She also introduced the panel of teachers - Ms. Kavitha Rajesh (Quiz Master), Ms. Infancy (Score recorder), Mr. Maijo Varghese (Moderator) and Ms. Shalini Nair (Audience round in-charge ) to the audience.
The competition began with a captivating Picture Round, where participants demonstrated their keen observation and analytical skills. The Rapid Fire Round followed, testing students' quick thinking and deep knowledge of Mathematics. The excitement peaked in the Buzzer Round, as participants raced against time, balancing speed with accuracy. The strategic element of penalties for wrong answers added to the intensity of the final round.
The active participation of the audience added vibrancy to the event, especially during the 'Audience Round,' where they had the chance to answer questions and win prizes. This interactive segment heightened the excitement and encouraged full engagement.
The Mathematics Quiz Competition was a tremendous success, testing students' knowledge while fostering teamwork, quick thinking, and a passion for learning. The event fulfilled its goal of nurturing a love for knowledge and healthy competition among the students.
