Indian school Al Maabela organized the CBSE Oman Cluster Chess Tournament from 12th-13th September 2024. A total of 12 Indian schools participated with 450 players in different categories U-11/14 /17 /19 boys and girls.
Indian School Sohar won a Gold medal in Under 17 Girls and a Bronze medal in Under 17 Boys. The Chess competitions allowed the participants to explore their talent in the game and their chess skills. The Gold medalist has the golden opportunity to participate in the CBSE National Chess Competition scheduled to be held at LA Blossoms School, Village Usmanpur, Jalandhar, Punjab from 25.10.24 to 28.10.24.
The President, Members of the School Management Committee, Principal, and Staff congratulated the team and the Coach Mr. Nikhil More for bringing laurels to the school.
