05-10-2024

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” - Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa who devoted her life to serving the poor around the world was born on 26th August 1910. Every year, on this day we remember her and pay homage to her. She inspired thousands of people to help each other and spread humanity and care.

On the occasion of the 114th birth anniversary of the Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa, Class 2 students of Indian School Sohar organized a special assembly. The celebration began with a prayer song followed by a thought and a short speech on Mother Teresa.

A short video presentation depicted Mother Teresa’s life journey, from her early days in Albania to her serving days in Kolkata, India where she did have a profound impact on the lives of the poor and the deprived. The video showcased her dedication, humility and unwavering commitment to helping those in need.

The students were inspired by Mother Teresa's unwavering dedication to serving others and we are proud to see them embracing her values of empathy, kindness and selflessness. Let us continue to spread love and make a difference in our world, just as Mother Teresa did!
