The CBSE National Basketball Tournament for girls was held at Golden International School in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India from 9th to 13th October 2024. The school's U-17 girls' team participated in Group E, competing against Cygnus World School (Vadodara), Guru Nanak Public School (Chandigarh), and Vydehi School of Excellence (Bangalore).
The team was led by Sarisha Gupta (X-A) with members Arshia Kulshrestha (XI-A), Yetika Taunk (IX-A), Neha Antala (X-A), Shauna Ryona Raj (X-B), Kanishka Sriram (IX-F), Shreya Vivek Pachat (VIII-E) and Hiranmayi Rajesh (VIII-B). The team’s hard work and skills on the court made a significant impact. Their exceptional performances were crucial in showcasing the team's talent and determination.
During the tournament, Sarisha, Neha, Kanishka, Arshia, and Shauna were the team's scorers. The ISSohar Team was coached by Mr. Kamal Gurung, HOD, Physical Education. The team was escorted by Ms. Pratibha Sharma (Team Manager). Under her support and guidance, the team fought hard in every match, showcasing their dedication and teamwork. The experience gained during the tournament was invaluable for their growth as players.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma congratulated the team on their participation and commitment, expressing hope that they will perform even better the next year.
