ANNUAL EXHIBITION 2024-25

Indian School Sohar organised its Annual Exhibition for the students of KG to Grade V, on 23rd and 24th October 2024, providing a platform for young learners to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and investigative skills. Organized by the teaching staff and students of the Primary Section under the guidance of Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, the event aimed to boost students' confidence and highlight their enthusiasm and innovation. With strong student participation, the exhibition captivated spectators, celebrating the spirit of learning and leaving a lasting impression of the students' potential.

The exhibition began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Mr. Yousef bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Najadi, Assistant Director of Educational Measurement and Evaluation, and by the Guest of Honour Ms. Rahma Rashid Al Zaabi, Principal of Al Rasala Primary School. The event's significance was further elevated by the presence of Mr. Abraham George, President of the School Managing Committee, Mr. Ajay Damani, Treasurer, School Managing Committee and Dr. Ragini Vaishnav, Member, School Managing Committee.

The Early Explorers (LKG) and Mini Marvels (UKG) engaged the audience through model presentations and interactive activities like painting and storytelling, featuring displays on shapes, germination stages, and a vibrant puppet show. The English Department’s Imagination Room and the Hindi Department’s ‘Phoolwari’ for Grades I and II enhanced the exhibition with engaging language games, puzzles, and models, while Live Shows featuring popular characters added to the lively atmosphere. The Little Math Wizards section showcased creative displays of shapes, number puzzles, and interactive Math models covering addition, subtraction, and more, along with art-integrated activities like bud printing and clay modelling. In the Discovery Zone by the Department of EVS, live shows on sense organs and dances on endangered animals captivated the audience.

Grades III- V presented a diverse array of exhibits during the exhibition, featuring many standout projects and themes. The English Department’s Vibrant Landscape brought the ‘The Wizard of Oz’ to life through vibrant costumes and role-play, complemented by a live counter with grammar puzzles and interactive games. The Gyan Vatika of the Hindi Department featured a colourful puppet show and activities like Tongue Twisters and Kavyanjali. The Indian Panorama by the Department of Social Science showcased India's landscapes with a central map and a striking desert, snowy region, and coastal display, enhanced by a Flag Quest Game for interactive learning. The Math Magicians exhibits included creative models like a Division Machine and Multiplication Games, sparking interest in Mathematics concepts. The Science in Action exhibits featured interactive experiments on refraction, water diya, density of liquids, air pressure, water purification and magnetic levitation, demonstrating the practical side of Science and encouraged hands-on participation.

The Rainbow of Creativity, Art and Craft Exhibition displayed creative student artwork, including paintings, sculptures, and crafts. Live painting sessions, workshops, and demonstrations provided visitors a hands-on experience, fostering community appreciation for the arts. A special Gratitude Counter allowed attendees to express thanks on colourful cards, celebrating the collective efforts of students, teachers, and parents, highlighting the positive impact of the event. A fountain at the entrance and a photo booth captured the interest of the public, enhancing the overall experience of the exhibition.

A highlight of the event was the flash mob performance on ‘We Are the World’, in which KG to Grade V students showcased their talents through a lively ramp walk, celebrating unity and creativity. The enthusiastic guests fostered community interaction and idea-sharing, leaving everyone mesmerized. The council members managed the crowd seamlessly, ensuring a smooth experience for all. The guidance of Vice Principal, Mr. Yashvir Singh, Assistant Vice Principal, Ms. Indira Sukumaran, and Section Supervisor Dr. Alka Singh was instrumental in making the programme, a grand success. Their support and leadership contributed significantly to the smooth execution of the exhibition, ensuring that everything ran seamlessly and effectively.

Mr. Abraham George appreciated the Principal and her team for their visionary work that led to such a successful exhibition. Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma commended the staff and students for their innovative contributions, celebrating a remarkable achievement that highlighted their collective efforts.
