Recognizing the importance of early colour identification in a child’s cognitive development, the kindergarten section of Indian School Sohar joyfully celebrated Blue Colour Day on May 5th, 2024. Blue, a natural colour that evokes images of the sky and the sea symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence and truth.
The students and teachers of the KG section adorned themselves in various shades of blue, immersing themselves in the theme. The entrance was creatively decorated to reflect the essence of the colour blue.
Engaging classroom activities and games were organized to reinforce the concept of the colour blue. During the celebration, the tiny tots of LKG expressed their creativity by crafting fish through sponge painting, while the UKG kids showcased their artistic skills by creating raindrops with finger prints. The Blue Colour Day proved to be an enriching learning for all participants, leaving a lasting impact on each student.
The event was a vibrant showcase of the power of colours in education and the joy they bring to the learning process. The celebration was a resounding success, fostering creativity, imagination and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the colour blue.
