On May 4, 2024, Ms. Selvi Malaiyathevar a dedicated and innovative Art educator at Indian School Sohar, presented her action research at the Educational Conclave organized by Indian school Salalah, on “Improving retention using diagrammatic questions in Science education for Grade 7 students through Art Integration”.
Her research paper was selected in a tough competition among all Indian schools in Oman. Her paper was ranked in the top three.
The presentation received positive feedback from conference attendees, sparking discussions on the implementation of similar strategies in various educational settings.
Ms. Selvi's action research not only contributed valuable insights to the field of education but also inspired educators to adopt more inclusive and effective teaching practices. The success of her presentation at the Salalah conclave is a testament to her dedication to improving education for all students through art integration.
