In a grand display of educational stewardship and institutional grace, the Junior Investiture Ceremony of Indian School Sohar, unfolded its tapestry of leadership on May 15th, 2024. Presiding over this symphony of excellence were two distinguished guests: Ms. Zubaida Suleiman Al-Dabdoob, Principal of Al-Hikmah Education Basic School, Ministry of Education, North Al Batinah, Sohar, as the Chief Guest and Ms. Fathma Yahya Aljabri, Vice Principal of Al-Hikmah Education Basic School, Ministry of Education, North Al Batinah, Sohar, as the Guest of Honour. Their presence infused the occasion with an aura of distinction and inspiration.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome extended by the principal,
Ms. Sanchita Verma, to the honored guests. As the echoes of welcome reverberated, the gathering joined in a soulful rendition of 'Hum Honge Kamyab', a poignant invocation of hope and aspiration that set the tone for the proceedings.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, addressed the gathering with her wisdom and vision, emphasizing the transformative power of education and the vital role of leadership in shaping the future. Her words served as a beacon of guidance, inspiring the young leaders to embrace their responsibilities with diligence and integrity.
The school choir regaled the audience with a stirring rendition of 'We Gather Here'. Their harmony weaved a tapestry of unity and inspiration. The musical interlude served as a testament to the collective spirit of the school community, united in purpose and determination.
The ceremony paid homage to the rigorous process of leadership identification and cultivation. The overall coordinators, Dr. Alka Singh, Supervisor III-V, and Mr. Kamal Gurung, Head of the Physical Department, and the coordinators Ms. Karuna Mehta and Ms. Michelle Lee were introduced along with the members of selection panel.
The selection panel team headed by Dr. Alka Singh, Supervisor III-V comprised of Ms. Michelle Lee and Ms. Karuna Mehta, faculty of the Science Department, and Mr. Nikhil More, faculty of the Physical Education Department.
With meticulous precision, the newly elected Council Members for the forthcoming session marched forth amidst the event's grandeur. They were conferred with badges and sashes by the Chief Guest, as symbols of authority and trust.
In a solemn pledge administered by the Principal, these budding leaders vowed to uphold the principles of integrity, service, and excellence, heralding a new era of inspired leadership and collective endeavor.
The ceremony concluded on a victorious note with Junior School Captain Nabiha Fathima expressing gratitude to the school community as she delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony, anchored by Ms. Nikku Saira Joji and Ms. Karuna Mehta, faculty members of Team ISS, marked a proud moment for parents witnessing their children embracing significant responsibilities and stepping into leadership roles on a new journey.
