The English Handwriting Competition, held on 30th May 2024, for Grades III to V, was a highly anticipated event designed to celebrate and enhance students' handwriting skills. The competition held in respective classrooms attracted enthusiastic participation from students across multiple grades. This event underscored the significance of good cursive handwriting and fostered a spirit of healthy competition among the participants.
During the competition, participants transcribed a given passage within a 45-minute period. The handwriting was assessed based on several criteria, including legibility, consistency, neatness, spacing of letters, spelling, and punctuation. The students' response was highly encouraging, with the majority demonstrating their best efforts to improve their writing skills.
The Head of Department, Ms. Divya Johari, and the Section Supervisor, Ms. Alka Singh, offered significant guidance and support. The English teachers for grades III to V undertook substantial efforts to enhance students' writing skills through rigorous practice and motivational techniques.
The Principal, Vice-Principal, and Head of the Department of English, formally commended the participants, acknowledging their dedication and effort. This recognition highlighted the elevated level of skill and commitment demonstrated by the students, further encouraging them to continue excelling in their endeavors.
The judges encountered a formidable task in choosing the winners owing to the remarkable skill exhibited by all participants. However, after thorough assessment, the following students emerged as the victors:
