“People forget facts, but they remember stories," said Joseph Campbell.
Stories always give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of the physical world. A story stays with the children much longer than facts or statistics.
Storytelling is one of the most effective ways to communicate with students. It is a never-ending journey of learning and understanding the world around us.
To foster the skills of listening and reading, a story telling activity on the stories of Pinocchio and Abu Ali Counts his Donkeys was organized for class II by Ms. Anita Gupta and the teachers of that class.
It was an interactive session that was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. Teachers showcased creativity, imagination, thinking, and communication skills.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Sanchita Verma, Principal, Indian School Sohar, who actively participated and interacted with the students through a question-and-answer session. She also emphasized the importance of reading and encouraged the young ones to read books.
