SUB JUNIOR INTER-HOUSE SPORTS COMPETITION 2024-25

The much-awaited Inter-House Sports Competition at Indian School Sohar took place on 16th February 2025, with great enthusiasm and participation. The competition featured four houses: Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, who competed in various sports events such as Basketball, Football, Badminton, and Cricket.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, who officially inaugurated the event. In her inspiring speech, she spoke about the significance of sports in enhancing physical fitness, teamwork, and mental discipline. She encouraged the young athletes to give their best and stressed that such events promote student unity and coordination.

The Principal also appreciated the efforts of all participants and expressed gratitude to the Physical Education Department for organizing the event, which was well-coordinated and smoothly executed. The Assistant Vice-Principal, Ms. Indira Sukumaran and the Supervisor of Classes III-V, Ms. Alka Singh also extended their appreciation for the successful organization of the event. The competition was held in a true spirit of sportsmanship, with all houses showcasing their best efforts in each of the events:

The final results of the sports events were as follows:

  • Basketball (Girls)
    • Winners: Green House
    • Runners-up: Yellow House
  • Basketball (Boys)
    • Winners: Red House
    • Runners-up: Blue House
  • Football:
    • Winners: Blue House
    • Runners-up: Red House
  • Badminton(Girls):
    • Winners: Yellow House
    • Runners-up: Red House
  • Badminton(Boys):
    • Winners: Red House
    • Runners-up: Blue House
  • Cricket:
    • Winners: Blue House
    • Runners-up: Red House

After the intense competition, the Blue House was awarded the Overall Champion House Trophy, having won the most number of events. The Red House was named the Runners-up, having performed admirably across the different sports.

Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma awarded the Champion's trophies to the winners and runners–up team.
