INDIAN SCHOOL SOHAR SHINES AT MACMILLAN BUDDING SCIENTIST 2024–25

The team of Indian School Sohar comprising Ms. Dhriti Basu, Ms. Mekha Manojkumar, and Ms. Paviksha Hari Prasath, under the mentorship of Mr. Sudarshan Gupta, PGT Computer Science, represented the Middle East Zone in the prestigious Macmillan Budding Scientist 2024–25 Competition held at IIT Delhi, New Delhi.

The zonal round, held virtually on 1st February 2025, saw the students showcasing their project, "RailSafe Barrier," under the theme "IoT & AI." Their groundbreaking ideas, innovative solutions, and exceptional problem-solving skills helped them emerge victorious in this round, earning them a place in the Grand Finale.

On 20th February 2025, these young scientists competed against some of the brightest minds at IIT Delhi in the final round of the competition. Their dedication, passion, and ingenuity were truly commendable.

Ms. Sanchita Verma, Principal of Indian School Sohar, congratulated the students and their mentor for this remarkable achievement. The school takes immense pride in their hard work and perseverance and wishes them the very best as they continue to push boundaries and explore new frontiers in the world of science.
