EID AL-FITR CELEBRATION

Indian School Sohar celebrated Eid al-Fitr with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. A special assembly was organized on the occasion, showcasing the rich cultural and spiritual significance of the festival. All participants adorned themselves in beautiful traditional Eid attire, adding to the vibrancy of the occasion.

The program commenced with a soulful prayer song followed by the thought for the day. A melodious group song on the theme of Eid set a serene and joyful tone for the event. Aisha Ikram of Class X E delivered an eloquent speech, highlighting the significance and essence of Eid al-Fitr.

Students of Classes IX and X presented a captivating skit on the etiquettes of Eid celebrations, vividly bringing the festive day alive on stage. Their performance beautifully conveyed the values of respect, unity, and joy that the festival promotes.

The Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma addressed the gathering and congratulated the teachers and participants for putting together such a wonderful show. She urged the students to internalize the core values of Ramadan and Eid—peace, love, self-discipline, and brotherhood—and to uphold them throughout their lives.

She also appreciated the efforts of the SAMARPAN –the community service club of ISS for organising joy of giving for inculcating charity and sharing. In this drive students and staff collected in distributed food items to the needy during the holy month of Ramadan.

In her address, the Principal also emphasized the importance of cyber safety and the need for digital detox. She advised students to focus on their studies, highlighting that the rewards of hard work far outweigh the fleeting pleasures of excessive screen time and social media.

The celebration ended on a high note with a captivating dance performance that filled the audience with joy and enthusiasm. The event beautifully conveyed the message of love, peace, and unity, truly capturing the essence of Eid.
