The Physical Education Teachers of Indian School Sohar proudly showcased their coaching excellence by training the Oman Girls Badminton and Table Tennis teams for the School Sports Days 2025 a prestigious event organized by the Oman School Sports Association at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, Bausher from 13th to 16th April 2025.
The event brought together talented young athletes from 11 Governorates across Oman. Representing the North Al Batinah Governorate, Sohar secured an impressive third place overall in the competition, with students delivering outstanding performances across events.
The young paddlers from Al-Turaif School and Hind Bint Al-Muhallab School, Sohar brought pride to the region by clinching the silver medal in Table Tennis, demonstrating sharp focus and skill on the court. Meanwhile, the spirited shuttlers from Shama Al-Safa School and Sara Masha School, Sohar, played their hearts out to reach the quarter-finals in Badminton, displaying remarkable grit, sportsmanship, and determination.
These commendable achievements are a reflection of the dedication of students and the expert coaching provided by Mr. Nikhil More and Mr. Niyas Ali of Indian School Sohar. Their tireless mentoring played a crucial role in preparing the teams for this competitive event.
In preparation for the big event, friendly matches were organized, which proved invaluable in giving the players real-time match experience and a significant boost in confidence.
Principal, Sanchita Verma extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Physical Education Department, teachers, coaches and student athletes for their remarkable efforts and achievements.
