Colour Day bursts with excitement as children immerse themselves in a world of vibrant hues, joyful activities, and hands-on experiences that make learning fun and memorable. More than just a celebration of colours, it offers a meaningful opportunity for young children to explore and learn through play-based experiences. Blue- the colour of the sky and sea- symbolizes calmness, serenity, and imagination, bringing a sense of peace and wonder to a child’s world.
On 1st May 2025, a wave of excitement swept through the Kindergarten Section of Indian School Sohar as Blue Colour Day was celebrated with vibrant enthusiasm. The day was filled with imaginative, blue-themed activities that sparked creativity, enriched sensory experiences, and nurtured cognitive growth in young learners.
Nursery students enjoyed a delightful ‘Fingerprinting’ activity, creating bluebonnet flowers using blue paint. This hands-on activity helped reinforce the concept of the colour blue while promoting sensory development and creativity.
LKG students engaged in an imaginative ‘Paper Plate Jellyfish Craft’. They painted paper plates blue and used blue paper strips to transform commonly found materials into vibrant sea creatures. This fun-filled activity supported fine motor skills, boosted imagination, and helped children connect with real life concepts in a playful way.
UKG students participated in an engaging ‘Bit-Pasting’ activity on dolphin outlines. By carefully pasting dark blue and light blue paper bits, the children enhanced their motor coordination while learning about aquatic animals. The activity was both artistic and educational, sparking creativity and curiosity.
The blue-themed day was embraced with joy by all our tiny tots in KG. Classrooms sparkled with vibrant blue decorations and children's artwork, transforming the space into a creative haven. These visual elements not only brightened the room but also reinforced vocabulary and colour recognition. The day was filled with laughter, learning, and discovery as the children explored various shades of blue through fun, hands-on activities- making Blue Colour Day a celebration of creativity, confidence, and joyful expression.
