JOIN THE DOTS OF FOUNDATIONAL LEARNING

A teacher training program was conducted by Indian School Muladha under the aegis of the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman on 12^th May 2025. The session was attended by the Principal and faculty members of Indian School Sohar.

The training was led by Ms. Soniya Relia, a CBSE Resource Person, TEDx Speaker, and the author of My Learning Train. She served as the resource person for the day, delivering an engaging session on the theme:
“Empowering and Capacity Building Programme for the Foundational Stage – Join the Dots of Foundational Learning.”

The workshop primarily focused on the key directives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, with further emphasis on the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). Ms. Relia provided in-depth insights into the following core areas:

• Transforming traditional classrooms into activity-based learning environments
• Introducing kinesthetic learning methodologies through KINOLEARN and KINOPHONICS
• Highlighting the significance of Panchakosha Vikas
• Exploring the learning process in relation to developmental domains
• Defining curriculum goals and aligning them with essential competencies

Participants engaged in various hands-on activities designed to practically demonstrate and reinforce the curricular goals and competencies discussed.

The training session proved to be highly enriching and informative, offering valuable takeaways for enhancing foundational education. Overall, the program was a resounding success.
