The Inter-House Mathematics Quiz for students from classes IX to XII was organized with great enthusiasm. The preliminary round, held on 3rd November 2024, saw the participation of over 200 students. Out of these, 16 students qualified for the final round, which took place on 10th November 2024. Each of the four houses—Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow—was represented by students from classes 9, 10, 11, and 12. The event aimed to promote healthy competition, encourage intellectual growth, and provide a fun filled educational experience for the students.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma addressed the student body, sharing invaluable life lessons. She emphasized the importance of knowledge, curiosity, and teamwork, inspiring students to excel in all areas of life. Her words left a lasting impact, motivating everyone present. Principal also commended the teachers for organizing such an enriching event.
The Assistant Vice-Principal and Head of the Mathematics Department, Ms. Indira Sukumaran presented a brief overview of the event and introduced the panel of students conducting the event: Ms. Advika Rai (compere), Amrutha Varshini and Om Santhosh Swami (Quiz masters), George Emmanuel and Devansh Jitendra (scorekeepers), and Nabil Biswas (timekeeper). She also extended her best wishes to all the participants.
The quiz consisted of five rounds: the Picture Round, Competency Round, Brain Twister Round, Maths History Round, and the Mixed Bag (Buzzer) Round. The audience played an active role in the event, participating enthusiastically in an interactive ‘Audience Round’ where they had the chance to answer questions and win prizes. This segment further heightened the excitement and encouraged an energetic participation of everyone present.
The Mathematics Quiz Competition was a tremendous success. It not only tested the students' mathematical knowledge but also fostered teamwork, quick thinking, and a passion for learning. The event succeeded in nurturing a love for knowledge and healthy competition among students.
In the end, Red House claimed the winner’s trophy, while Green House secured the runner-up position. The Principal and teachers congratulated all the participants on their achievements and applauded the efforts of HoD Mathematics, Ms. Indira Sukumaran, along with the organizing teachers—Mr. Roopendra Sharma, Mr. Bijo Joseph, Mr. Dinesh Sharma, Ms. Sophia Kishore, and Ms. Rajeena Rassak—for ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
