Indian School Sohar celebrated Children’s Day on Tuesday, 19th November 2024, with vibrant festivities and boundless joy. The occasion, marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was commemorated with the grandeur of a colorful carnival, reflecting the spirit of the day.
The program featured a variety of engaging and thrilling events thoughtfully curated to delight the students. The event commenced with a soulful prayer song, Humko Jeevan Dene Wale, performed by the school’s music team, followed by a floral tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. An inspiring Thought for the Day highlighted the significance and value of children.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma reminded the children of their uniqueness and their invaluable role in society. She emphasized the importance of hard work and encouraged students with her motivational words.
The program also included enthralling performances, such as a fusion dance choreographed and performed by a group of teachers, captivating the audience with their mesmerizing moves. Other standout acts included the lively Step it Up dance and a duet song that enchanted the audience.
Creative performances like One World, One Family, a Blindfolded Dance, and a Human Puppet Dance, showcased the teachers' love for students. A medley performance and a stunning Kathak dance by students further added to the festive atmosphere.
The event reflected the profound affection and care of the teaching staff for their students, leaving a lasting impression. The joy and excitement among the students were a testament to the success of the celebration, making it a memorable occasion for all.
