Clay folds, clay moulds, clay rests and clay sets. Clay modelling is an activity that nurtures a child’s creativity, boosts imagination, imbibes self-confidence, develops fine motor skills and promotes problem-solving skills. Keeping these objectives in mind Indian School Sohar conducted a Clay Modelling Competition for the students of LKG and UKG on 28th November 2024.
Under the theme 'Healthy Food Platter', LKG kids skillfully pounded, squeezed, and rolled the clay to make models of healthy food items like idli - sambar, fruits, vegetables, sandwiches etc. The students of UKG masterfully made amazing sea creatures and underwater scenery on the theme 'Sea World'.
The finished product displayed on paper plates was a treasure to cherish for the little ones as they experienced the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. All the students thoroughly enjoyed it as a great way to develop imagination and sparkle creativity to think out of the box.
The innovative creations of the tiny tots were well appreciated by the judges. It was excellent to watch the children learn and acquire this sensory art with a lot of interest.
