The fourth edition of the Annual Ladies Cricket Cup, organized by Indian Social Club, Sohar, took place on 13th December 2024 at Sallan Ground, Sohar. In a closely contested tournament, Indian School Sohar emerged as the runners-up. In the semi-finals, Shubrika Singh was declared ‘Player of the Match’ for her outstanding performance.
In the final match, the team was tasked with chasing a target of 42 runs. Despite a strong effort, the ISS girls fought hard and scored 41 runs, narrowly missing out on victory but securing the runners-up position. The team showcased excellent batting, bowling, and fielding skills, impressing everyone with their all-round performance.
Sushanthika Ashok Sathiya, the team captain, led from the front with an exceptional all-round performance. She played a brilliant innings with the bat and also bowled effectively, showcasing her versatility and commitment. Throughout the tournament, she motivated and inspired her teammates, driving the team to success with her leadership and determination.
The tournament was organized very well, and the girls thoroughly enjoyed playing, gaining valuable experience from the competition.
The President, Members of the School Management Committee, Principal, Staff and the students congratulated the medal winners for bringing laurels to the school with their hard work and commitment.
