Scratch is an educational tool with a visual programming language that makes it easy for students to create their own interactive stories in the form of, animations, games, project-based activities. It helps young children to learn better, to apply their knowledge, to solve given problems, to reason systematically, to work collaboratively and to develop essential 21st century skills. The main objectives are to promote the spirit of innovation and creativity.
Indian School Sohar organized a Scratch Competition for the students of Class V on 3rd December 2024. 32 students participated in the competition. Students created stories and games with the Scratch Software. It was an enriching experience for the participants as they learned various tools and techniques of the programming language.
The competition was coordinated by Ms. Meenakhi Satapathy.
The following students were adjudged the winners of the competition:
First Position – Aaradhya Singh (V B)
Second Position – Hasna Ambrin Abdul Hameed (V E)
Third Position– M. Amina (V E)
