The inauguration of the new school canteen, ‘Quick Bites’, at Indian School Sohar was held on Sunday, 26th January 2025. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Abraham George, President of the School Managing Committee, along with esteemed school committee members, the Principal, staff, parents and students. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome, highlighting the President’s visionary leadership and contributions to the school’s growth.
The canteen was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Abraham George, President of SMC, along with Mr. Ajay Damani, Treasurer, Mr. Amit Shah, Member, and Mrs. Sanchita Verma, the Principal.
To make the canteen special, a naming contest was organised for the school prefects, encouraging them to showcase their creativity. After careful consideration, the name ‘Quick Bites’ was selected. The winners, Nevin Joe Binoy of Class VIII E and Arshia Kulshrestha of Class XI A, who suggested the same name, were felicitated by the Chief Guest.
The event concluded with guests exploring the canteen’s healthy menu and a reminder to maintain cleanliness, marking a memorable milestone for the school.
