Indian School Sohar athletes showcased their talent at the Inter-School Ambassador’s Cup 2025, organized by the Embassy of India to promote sporting excellence among the students of Indian Schools in Oman. The Inter-School Sports Competition featured nine sporting events across various categories for both boys and girls, which were held at nine different venues on February 9, 2025, with around 1,500 enthusiastic participants representing 19 Indian Schools across Oman.
Indian School Sohar participated in Basketball (Boys & Girls), Chess (Boys & Girls), Football (Boys), Swimming (Boys), and Table Tennis (Boys). The athletes displayed remarkable skill and determination, securing medals in swimming and basketball.
The Medal Winners are:
Swimming: Vikram Senthilkumar (Gold Medal in Breaststroke) and Varun Balakrishnan (Silver Medal in Butterfly Stroke)
Basketball (Girls): Runners-Up: Hemanya Datwani (Captain), Nirja K.Desai, Zara Shah, Anushka Yadav, Sampriti Rana, Samanvi Sathyajith, Kushumitha Priya Muddada, Kashish Tiwari, Nanditha Eilla, Zoya Sardar.
The President, Members of the School Management Committee, Principal, staff, and students extended their heartfelt congratulations to the medal winners for bringing laurels to the school through their dedication and perseverance.
