Indian School Sohar organized a Faculty Development Programme on 13th September 2025 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. under the aegis of the Board of Directors for Indian Schools in Oman. The programme was held in the School auditorium and witnessed participation from Indian School Saham, Indian School Buraimi, Indian School Muladha, and Indian School Sohar.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Shiney Roy, Vice Principal, Indian School, Seeb who conducted an engaging workshop on the topic “Interpersonal Skills.” The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Sanchita Verma, Principal, Indian School Sohar, who warmly welcomed the teachers from the participating schools, introduced the resource person, and expressed gratitude to all for their enthusiastic participation.
The workshop was highly interactive, comprising a blend of activities, discussions, and a PowerPoint presentation that highlighted the significance of effective communication, collaboration, and positive interpersonal relationships in the teaching profession. Teachers participated wholeheartedly, making the sessions lively and enriching.
As part of the school’s commitment to sustainability, each participant was provided with a reusable water bottle to minimize the use of single-use plastics, thereby promoting an eco-friendly measure.
The Faculty Development Programme concluded on a positive note, leaving participants motivated to apply the learning in their classrooms and professional interactions. The event ended with a vote of thanks, extending heartfelt appreciation to the Board of Directors for Indian Schools in Oman for their continued guidance and support, to the resource person for her valuable insights, to the participants for their active involvement and enthusiasm, and to the staff of Indian School Sohar for ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
