A Professional Development Programme was conducted on 4th October 2025 at Indian School Sohar on the theme Parental Involvement. The session was attended by teachers from Indian School Buraimi, Indian School Muladha, Indian School Rustaq, Indian School Saham, and Indian School Sohar.
The programme was facilitated by Mr. Gangadhara Naik, PGT Social Science, Indian School Muscat. The session focused on the significance of parental involvement in a child’s education and overall development. Topics such as family bonding, effective communication with parents, and the importance of positive collaboration between home and school were discussed in depth.
The resource person emphasized that strong parental engagement enhances students’ academic performance and emotional well-being. The interactive session encouraged teachers to reflect on effective strategies for dealing with parents and building trust-based partnerships.
Mr. Yashvir Singh, Vice Principal of Indian School Sohar, thanked the resource person for his valuable insights and expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors for organizing such effective and meaningful programmes that support the professional growth of teachers.
The programme proved to be highly informative and enriching, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between teachers and parents in nurturing students’ holistic development.
