BROWN COLOUR DAY FOR NURSERY & KINDERGARTEN

15-10-2025

Colours play a vital role in the world we live in. Learning about colours is an important part of kindergarten curriculum.  The Nursery to UKG section of Indian School Sohar celebrated Brown Colour Day on 9th October, 2025 with great excitement and enthusiasm.

The classrooms were filled with shades of brown, as the children came dressed in beautiful brown outfits- ranging from teddy bear prints to chocolate-coloured clothes.

The purpose of celebrating Brown Colour Day was to help our little learners recognize and appreciate the colour brown, which is commonly seen around us in nature, animals, food and more. The day began with fun introductions where children showed brown-coloured objects they had brought from home and even shared yummy snacks like cookies and chocolates.

The little ones were thoroughly engaged in creative class activities:

  • Nursery students made bear masks.
  • LKG students mixed primary colours to create the colour brown and used finger printing to fill in a bear template.
  • UKG students did fork printing of a hedgehog on a template.

The children participated with great enthusiasm, savouring each moment of artistic exploration.
