“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”, said Mahatma Gandhi. Keeping the same spirit, the Green Gyan Eco Club of Indian School Sohar organized a ‘Cloth Donation Drive’ on 14th October 2025 to promote the values of generosity, compassion, social responsibility and joy of giving among students. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation of the students, the staff and parents.
A diverse collection of items such as blankets, bags, clothing, bedsheets, shoes, and other necessities, all in excellent condition, were donated. The drive sought to teach students the joy of giving and the importance of helping those in need.
The donated items were carefully packed and sent to the Takaful Sohar Charitable Society, Ministry of Social Development for further distribution.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma appreciated the efforts of the Green Gyan Eco Club and thanked all students and parents for their generous contributions.
The event was successfully coordinated by Mr. Kamal Gurung and Ms. Saima Ahmad, the Teachers-in-Charge of the Eco Club.
