ARITHMETIC OPERATIONS USING MODELS (V - X)

The ‘’Arithmetic Operations Using Models’’ competition was organized by the Mathematics Department of Indian School Sohar on 12^th October 2025 for Classes V to VII and on 13^th October 2025 for Classes VIII to X. This competition aimed to foster students’ understanding and application of arithmetic concepts through creative and practical model making.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 146 students who displayed commendable creativity and analytical skills. Each participant explained their model, highlighting the Mathematical principles involved and their practical relevance.

The competition was judged based on the following criteria: content, originality, creativity and presentation. The judges provided valuable feedback and acknowledged outstanding efforts. The event was a resounding success, embodying the true spirit of experiential learning and innovation.

The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, Vice Principal, Mr. Yashvir Singh, and Assistant Vice Principal & HoD Mathematics, Ms. Indira Sukumaran, commended the outstanding achievements of the participating students and expressed their heartfelt appreciation. They further expressed their appreciation to the dedicated teachers in charge for their commitment and exemplary teamwork that contributed to the event’s success.
