ANNUAL EXHIBITION 2025 – A SHOWCASE OF INNOVATION AND TALENT

Indian School Sohar hosted its Annual Exhibition 2025 for students of Classes VI to XII on Thursday, 30th October 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., providing an enriching platform for young minds to display their creativity, scientific curiosity, and artistic flair. The event, held on the school grounds, was meticulously organised under the visionary leadership of Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma, the dedicated guidance of AVP, Ms. Indira Sukumaran, the teaching faculty, and the unwavering support of the School Managing Committee, led by its dynamic President, Mr. Abraham George.

The exhibition was inaugurated with great fervour by the Chief Guest, Mr. Mohammed bin Saleh bin Mohammed Al Kaabi, Senior Supervisor, Science & Laboratories, Directorate General of Education, North Al Batinah Governorate, and the Special Dignitary, Ms. Amani, Supervisor, Music Department, Ministry of  Education. Their gracious presence inspired both students and staff as they appreciated the school’s commitment to hands-on learning and innovation.

The campus came alive with colourful decorations, including a beautifully designed entrance, creative name banners, rangoli art, an elegant lobby, and an artistic photo booth. Every department transformed its stall into a realm of creativity, imagination and knowledge.

The English Department presented “English Around the World – One Language, Many Voices,” showcasing the richness and diversity of English through interactive displays like a chameleon, accent and slang words games, author corners, and performances of scenes from famous plays.

The Hindi Department’s “Sahitya Sarovar” celebrated India’s literary splendour through posters, quizzes, games, puppet show and creative depictions of great writers.

The Mathematics Department amazed visitors with “Infinity Unfolded,” featuring fascinating models, puzzles, and hands-on math games that demonstrated the beauty and magic of numbers in daily life.

The Science Department captivated the audience with “From Switch to Spark,” demonstrating innovative models and experiments highlighting the wonders of scientific discovery.

The Social Science Department’s “Timeless Treasures” offered an engaging journey through history, geography, and civics, displaying models and artefacts from ancient civilizations to modern governance.

The Third Language Section presented a vibrant “Trilingual Corner,” where students proudly showcased creative projects and interactive games in Arabic, Tamil, and Malayalam, celebrating India’s linguistic and cultural diversity. The highlight of the section was the Kerala stall, which served traditional homemade food, delighting visitors with authentic flavours and becoming one of the main attractions of the exhibition.

The Computer Science Department’s “TechXplorers” exhibited displays on integrating IoT and Artificial Intelligence, all aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Innovative projects such as AI-based farming, autonomous firefighting robots, smart homes, rail safety barrier, and Neuro Vision highlighted the students’ creativity and their vision for a smarter, safer, and more sustainable future.

The Physics Department captivated the audience with its exhibit “Radiance,” a dazzling blend of innovation and intellect. Visitors were drawn to striking models such as the maglev train, solar tracker, smart home system, and intriguing creations like shoes for the visually impaired, a mesmerizing laser whirlpool, and the powerful Tesla coil. Engaging games and quizzes added an interactive spark, making “Radiance” a true celebration of scientific brilliance and curiosity.

The Biology Department’s “PhysioLogica” offered an engaging exploration of the human body and its fascinating functions through interactive models and innovative technologies. Featuring exhibits such as organoids, artificial wombs, patient monitoring systems, and reflex arc demonstrations, the display captured the complexity and marvel of life’s inner workings. Informative games and hands-on activities further enriched the experience, making the study of health, habits, and human physiology both enjoyable and insightful.

The Chemistry Department’s “ChemIgnite” impressed audiences with colourful reactions, rayon thread making, and engaging chemistry-based games.

The Commerce Department drew crowds to its exhibits, “Currency Chronicles” and “Bizz Nexus”, featuring the evolution of money, accounting models, business ideas, quizzes, and marketing of solar tree.

The Art Gallery turned into a “Rainbow of Creativity,” featuring captivating paintings, craftwork and face painting leaving visitors awestruck by the students’ artistic brilliance.

The STAI Section showcased students’ achievements and contributions through dynamic displays and interactive presentations.

The Life Skills Department presented the thoughtful installation “Tree of Positivity,” encouraging visitors to share and take positive affirmations to spread optimism and kindness throughout the community.

The exhibition also featured Career Guidance and Counselling stalls that offered valuable insights into academic and emotional growth respectively.

The evening concluded with heartfelt words of appreciation from The SMC President, Mr. Abraham George, who commended the Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, staff and students for their remarkable teamwork and creativity. The Chief Guest lauded the event as “a living laboratory of imagination, discipline, and intellect.”

The Annual Exhibition 2025 truly reflected the school’s ethos of learning through experience and stood as a grand celebration of curiosity, collaboration, and creativity, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended.
