The Primary Section of Indian School Sohar successfully organized and conducted its Scratch Competition 2025, marking the first occasion of a group competition within the primary division. This event prominently showcased the outstanding creativity, coding proficiency, and collaborative skills of students from Classes III to V. The Final Round was conducted on Sunday, 9th November 2025, where participants exhibited projects delivering impactful moral messages.

The competition commenced with class-wise Preliminary Rounds, structured as follows:

Final Round: Teamwork & Life Skills
A total of 33 students formed 11 interdisciplinary teams, each comprising one student from Classes III, IV and V. The theme, “Life Skills through Moral Stories,” required teams to integrate technical programming skills with meaningful storytelling. The adjudicators commended the participants for their creativity, teamwork, and adept incorporation of valuable life lessons into their Scratch projects.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, Vice Principal, Mr. Yashvir Singh, Assistant Vice Principal, Ms. Indira Sukumaran, and Supervisor, Ms. Alka Singh collectively acknowledged the exemplary achievements of the students and expressed their sincere appreciation. Special commendation was extended to Ms. Deepa Dinesh, Head of Computer Science Department, along with the teachers in-charge, for their unwavering dedication and effective coordination.
The successful conduction of the Final Round not only tested the students' technical skills in Scratch but also highlighted their ability to collaborate in groups for the first time and integrate life skills into their creative narratives. This event is a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing both technological acumen and moral values through innovative educational initiatives.

First Position was bagged by KEIN VARKEY POULSON (III H), RAYAN AKHTER (IV G), YUVRAJ AVINASH PARDHI (V G) of Group -3, DIYAANA DINESH(III B), MAHROOF HUBAISE (IV D), MEEHAN JAIN (V D) of Group - 8 and HASINI VINOTH INDHUMATHI (III B), SAANVI SANJAY GAVANE (IV E), K. JAIKHRISH JAYIN (V G) of Group – 11.
Second Position was bagged by PADMANABH VISHAK PILLAI (III H), LUCINDA ABDELRAHMAN(IV C), AGASTYA BISWAS (V C) of Group – 7.
Third Position was bagged by JASNOOR SINGH (III F), KRISHIV NARENDRA KUMAR MAVANI (IV H), KRIZEL PRINCY LOBO (V E) of Group – 2.
