The STEAM Quest was designed to ignite curiosity and encourage young learners of Classes III and IV to integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics in a fun, hands-on, and inquiry-based learning environment. The main objective was to help students develop critical thinking, observation skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.
The preliminary round was conducted on 4th December 2025, where students participated enthusiastically.
The final round of the STEAM Quest Competition was held on 8th December 2025. The event began with an encouraging and motivating address by the principal Ms. Sanchita Verma, highlighting the importance of STEAM learning in developing future-ready learners. This was followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Alka Singh, Supervisor (III–V), who appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and dedication.
The competition was judged by Dr. Alka Singh, Section Supervisor III–V and Ms. Nisha Sobti, Head of Science Department. Both judges evaluated participants based on accuracy, creativity, teamwork, and conceptual understanding across all rounds.
The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. Karuna Mehta and Ms. Vineetha Nair, along with the support of the Science Department team.
The competition was conducted in three rounds as:
Round 1: Observation Orbit (Science)
In this round, students were presented with various science experimental setups. Participants had to carefully observe, interpret, and record their observations within a given time frame. This round assessed their scientific thinking, attention to detail, and ability to derive conclusions from visual cues.
Round 2: Tech Builders Arena (Technology & Engineering)
The second round transported students into the world of engineering and technology. Participants were provided with robotic kits, which they had to assemble using logical sequencing and teamwork. This round showcased their engineering instincts, spatial understanding, and ability to follow technical processes with precision.
Round 3: Tangram Masterpiece (Mathematics & Art)
The final round beautifully blended creativity with mathematics. Using tangram pieces, students created unique artistic designs while applying concepts of geometry, spatial arrangement, and symmetry. This round highlighted their creativity, aesthetic sense, and mathematical reasoning.
The STEAM Quest Competition successfully fulfilled its aim of fostering interdisciplinary thinking and hands-on learning. All participating students displayed wonderful enthusiasm and problem-solving abilities throughout the event.
