CBSE OMAN ZONAL CRICKET SELECTION TRAILS AND COMPETITION 2025

The CBSE Oman Zonal Cricket Selection trails and Competition 2025 was organized for the first time by Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir (ISWK) from 16^th to 19^th August 2025 at the ISWK Primary Ground and the Oman Cricket Turf Ground, Al Amirat. A total of 17 young and enthusiastic cricketers from Indian School Sohar participated in the selection trials, with 15 of them making it to the final round in the U-14, U-17, U-19 boys and U-17 girls categories.

Medal Winners are:

Gold Medals

U-14 Boys: Muhammad Shehzad and Bikki Kumar
U-17 Girls: Blessy Vinod Jeeba

Silver Medals

U-17 Girls: Yashaswini Jain and Shubhrika Singh
U-17 Boys: Rudra Kalpeshkumar Darji
U-19 Boys: Shubham Rao

Bronze Medals

U-14 Boys: Parthiv Arora, Shubham Dharmesh Khokhar, Ajinkya Deshpande and Swanik Garvandha
U-17 Boys: Avaneesh Gupta, R Joel Christon, Ansh Raj Singh and Harshil Shetty

Special Recognitions:

Yashaswini Jain received the Best Fielder trophy in the U-17 Girls’ Category.

Yashaswini Jain and Blessy Vinod Jeeba (U-17 Girls) and Avaneesh Gupta (U-17 Boys) were selected to represent team Oman at the CBSE National Cricket Tournament to be held in India.

The players were trained under the expert guidance of Mr. Kamal P. Gurung (HOD, Physical Education) and ably assisted by Mr. Sachin Ali, Ms. Pratibha Sharma, and Ms. Revathy, who also managed and supported the teams throughout the event.

The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the players and coaches for their dedication and hard work. The President and members of the School Management Committee, along with the staff and students of Indian School Sohar, applauded the young cricketers for their outstanding performances and achievements.
