The Indian School Sohar U-14 and U-17 Boys’ Football Teams participated in the CBSE Oman Cluster Football Tournament, held at Indian School Muladha from 14th–17th August 2025.
The U-14 Boys’ Team, led by Captain Mohith, fought bravely but were edged out by Indian School Darsait in a penalty shootout.
The U-17 Boys’ Team, under the captaincy of Tamir, delivered an inspiring performance. The team registered a remarkable 2-1 comeback victory over Indian School Sur, scoring twice in the last 10 minutes. In the quarterfinal against Indian School Al-Seeb, despite being reduced to 10 men and trailing 2-0, the boys showed tremendous resilience as Juvan’s stunning brace levelled the game before they narrowly lost in penalties.
Though the results were not favourable, the tournament proved to be an enriching experience, offering valuable exposure and highlighting the players’ resilience, teamwork, and determination.
The coaching and guidance of Mr. Sanjeev Kumar were instrumental in supporting the teams and bringing out their best efforts.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma appreciated the teams for their dedication, hard work, and exemplary display of sportsmanship.
