THE SECOND BAGLESS DAY - BALVATIKA – II

11-09-2025

Indian School Sohar celebrated its 2nd Bagless Day along with the festival of Onam with great enthusiasm on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025. The aim of the day was to provide students with joyful learning experiences without their regular school bags.

Students came to school carrying only their diaries, tiffin, and water bottles. The day was filled with fun activities such as drawing, storytelling, games, music, and craftwork. Teachers guided the children through engaging, hands-on learning, making the day both enjoyable and educational.

The tiny tots of Nursery, LKG, and UKG showcased their creativity by filling the Pookalam with shades of their choice.

Class I students made lovely greeting cards to take home and celebrate the festival of Onam with their families.

Class II students displayed their talents by drawing and filling Pookalam patterns with colourful petals.

A special assembly was conducted to mark the festival of Onam, where our tiny tots danced to rhythmic music, beautifully dressed in traditional Onam outfits. It was a delightful sight that brought the spirit of the festival alive in the school.

These engaging activities were designed to develop fine motor skills, enhance the understanding of colours, and deepen the spirit of celebrating Onam.

Everyone participated wholeheartedly, and the classrooms were filled with laughter and creativity. The Bagless Day truly helped students learn in a stress-free environment while encouraging them to explore their talents.

It was indeed a memorable experience, and all are eagerly looking forward to the next Bagless Day.
