In today’s fast-changing world, scientific temperament is not a luxury, but a necessity for survival, growth and opportunity. To remain informed is to stay connected with humanity’s struggles, progress and discoveries. With this vision of fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and team spirit among young learners, a Science Quiz Competition was organised for Class V on 27th August 2025 in the STEAM Lab.
The event was held under the guidance of the Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma and the Section Supervisor Dr. Alka Singh. Principal highlighted the limitless scope of Science, and how such competitions spark interest in young scholars to enrich their minds beyond the classroom, and apply that knowledge all across, promptly and fearlessly. Principal also conveyed her best wishes to the participants. The preliminary round of the competition was conducted on 18th August 2025, where enthusiastic students from all sections of Class V participated with great zeal.
The Section Supervisor, Dr. Alka Singh, extended a warm welcome to the teams and the audience. She also emphasised the significance of the team names – Igniters, Innovators, Explorers, and Thinkers – symbolising the spirit of curiosity, innovation, and exploration. The event was further graced by the presence of the Vice Principal Mr. Yashvir Singh and Assistant Vice Principal Ms. Indira Sukumaran, who appreciated the efforts behind the competition.
The quiz was conducted in five exciting rounds – Choice Chamber, Brainy Riddles, Science Sprint, Motion Mysteries, and Quick Buzz. Each round was designed to provide a balance of knowledge, fun and challenge. The moderators, Ms. Smitha P G and Ms. Ruchika Verma ensured the smooth conduct of the event and kept the atmosphere lively. The audience also participated enthusiastically, adding to the vibrancy of the competition.
